About the Position

Ensemble Schools is seeking a fun, experienced, and professional piano instructor to teach part-time at Middle C Music, our Washington DC location. We are looking for teachers who will instruct IN PERSON! Position to start in May 2025.

Experience working with younger kids would be beneficial.

Teachers can set their availability within our open hours as needed, but both students and school staff appreciate consistency and preference will be given to candidates with greater availability.

Successful candidates will have a strong music background evidenced by a degree in music performance, pedagogy, music education, or equivalent performing experience, a demonstrated love of teaching, experience working with young musicians, a robust appreciation for punctuality, reliable transportation, and the ability to pass a routine background check.

Instructor pay is commensurate with experience and education and will be in the range of $40-44/hour. A 401(K) program with employer matching is available to all of our employees after 90 days on the job.

Our teachers specialize in a variety musical styles and instruments and help students chart a path to successfully learning an instrument or growing singing ability. We offer music lessons on Guitar, Drums, Violin, Voice, Piano, Ukulele, Woodwinds and Brass Instruments all in one location for students of all ages.
