Job Description

Reeder Music Academy is seeking a fun and professional full-time staff member to help administer our music school location in Danville, CA. This staff member will serve as the primary point of contact for our students, families, and teachers to ensure smooth functioning of our day-to-day operations.

The desired time commitment is Monday-Friday or Tuesday-Saturday with afternoons and evenings as the primary availability on the weekdays, between 20-30 hours per week.

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Greeting students arriving for lessons and ensuring that teachers stay on schedule
  • Responding to scheduling-related phone calls and emails from students and families
  • Processing enrollments, sales skills relevant
  • Interfacing with teachers to help them manage their student schedules
  • General administrative tasks as needed
  • The successful candidate will be an organized, motivated self-starter with a strong customer service mindset. A demonstrated interest in music and music education would be an asset.

Pay will be around $19-20 per hour. A 401(k) with company matching is available to all of our employees after 3 months on the job and employees who average 30 or more hours per week are eligible for health, vision and dental benefits options.

At Reeder Music Academy, one-on-one instruction is customized to each student’s skill level and focused on helping them grow at a comfortable yet challenging pace. Private lessons are recommended for students at the advanced- beginner level and higher, and for total beginners who want to progress at the fastest rate possible. We offer lessons in Cello, Clarinet, Double Bass, Drums, Flute, Guitar & Bass Guitar, Piano, Saxophone, Trombone, Trumpet, Ukulele, Viola, Violin, Voice, & Composition.
